Ji Restaurant Bali

“Ji is located at Hotel Tugu where we stayed, so we chose it for a dinner. The restaurant is near Pantai Batu Bolong beach. Set inside a reconstructed 311-year-old ancient temple, it features contemporary Japanese cuisine. So you can really dine at old temple! This place will make happy both your stomach and your eyes: the restaurant is full of beautiful Japanese & traditional Balinese sculptures & decor and impressive food presentation. Not as much as hotel itself, but we were enjoying many details here. The menu at Ji Restaurant Bali was created by their Japanese & Asian-trained chefs, led by a collaboration between Chef Nyoman Antara (Ji Restaurant’s Head Sushi Chef) and Chef Colin Buchan (ex private chef of David and Victoria Beckham) during the creation of menu. So you can understand the quality of dishes here ;) Ji Terrace by the SEA is housed on the 2nd and 3rd floors of Ji Restaurant, with open sky and beautiful 180 degrees views over the Indian Ocean and Canggu Beach. You can’t miss beautiful sunset here! I would advise to book a table in advance since everyone wants to sit with sunset view. We tried in that day sushi sets with impressive presentation, shrimps, salad, delicious juices and tasty desserts. Staff is super attentive, came to check our food restrictions so we found even gluten free food. When we came there was DJ with music. I don’t know if they have it daily.”

“Just WOW!! What an amazing experience we had eating here. The staff were all so welcoming and hilarious - easy to have a chat with and a laugh! The chief was also so accomodating to our gluten free dietary requirement needs! Literally could make almost everything gluten free friendly without compensating any of the tastes. Hands-down the best food we have eaten on this trip!”
